Carebot presented at the MEDSOFT 2022 conference at the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University. The subject of the presentation was a fully integrated artificial intelligence system that can assist in mammography examinations. We presented the design of the first version of the system for faster localization and detection of breast cancer. Currently, the focus is on suspicious lesions that may be potentially malignant. The presentation was based on our study "Fully Integrated Decision-Support System for Detection and Segmentation of Breast Lesions in Digital Mammograms."
The talk emphasized the importance of creating similar systems with physicians. Developers must consult mammography specialists at every stage of system development. In this way, second-reading systems using artificial intelligence can serve as a reliable tool to speed up the process and reduce unforced errors.
