The Moravian-Silesian Region has become a leader in healthcare innovation. As the first region in Central Europe, it has implemented artificial intelligence for chest X-ray evaluation across all its hospitals. Thanks to this AI integration, doctors in Krnov, Opava, Frýdek-Místek, Havířov, Třinec, and Karviná now have an invaluable “third eye” to assist them.
With this technology, the Moravian-Silesian Region ensures the most advanced and precise diagnostics for its patients, helping doctors with the early detection of diseases. AI can identify up to 30% more findings when analyzing X-ray images, significantly improving diagnostic accuracy.
Among the speakers was our CEO, Matěj Misař—an Ostrava native who takes great pride in this groundbreaking achievement. “When reviewing an X-ray, doctors can compare their findings with the AI’s interpretation with just one click. To me, this is a brilliant feature,” said Josef Bělica, Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region.
“I am very pleased to see AI Carebot expanding to more hospitals, and I want to thank our radiologists. Three years ago, as representatives of the first hospital in the Czech Republic and the EU to deploy this system in full operation, they contributed to the final development and helped refine the evaluation algorithms,” added Norbert Schellong, Director of Havířov Hospital.
