Hope in the fight against lung cancer. This was the spirit of this year's West Bohemian Oncology Days. As part of a Bristol Myers Squibb panel, Carebot presented on how AI can help to make a faster and more accurate diagnosis from an X-ray. It is the early detection of malignant lesions that can mean the difference between life and death. A large proportion of cases are only detected at the last, fourth stage, when the chance of recovery is really low. And it is the collaboration of doctors and AI that can help reverse this trend.
In addition to the session on AI, the conference offered many topics in the field of lung cancer diagnosis or surgical treatment that could change the face of cancer care.
